
Authorities in Park Ridge are intensifying their efforts to locate a man accused of inappropriately touching two girls in the town's uptown area. According to information provided by the Park Ridge Police Department, the individual allegedly grabbed the girls' rear ends and then escaped from the scenes of the incidents, which took place on Thursday afternoon between 4 and 7 p.m. In a statement obtained by NBC Chicago, police shared that in one event the suspect was jogging near the victim, and in the other, the suspect was on a bicycle.
Police have released a description of the suspect, who appears to be a white male, thought to be between 30 and 45 years old with red facial hair, and tattoos on both arms. The community has been alerted to this threat, with the suspect's image circulating in hopes someone will recognize him. Unfortunately, at this time, the police have not reported any additional leads on the man's whereabouts, after the events which have left the Uptown area residents on high alert. ABC 7 Chicago described him as having a medium to heavy-set build.
The Park Ridge Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation. This call for community support follows a string of efforts to ensure such acts do not fall through the cracks of justice.
