A robbery that occurred yesterday has prompted an investigation by the San Diego Police Department. The incident occurred at a store located at 400 C Street in the Core-Columbia neighborhood, per the details provided by their Watch Commander's Log.
The suspect, as described by the police, is a Black male between 40 and 50. Witnesses observed the individual shopping before approaching the store clerk, initiating a transaction under non-threatening pretenses. It was only upon the clerk beginning to ring up the items that the suspect revealed what appeared to be a handgun, effectively coercing the clerk into compliance. The suspect then left the store, items in tow, heading westbound on C Street from 4th Avenue.
Surveillance and descriptions provided by the clerk led to a detailed suspect profile: he was last seen wearing all-black clothing and carrying a grey backpack. Robbery detectives are working on the case to apprehend the individual responsible for the crime.
