AquaFest is set to make a splash this upcoming Saturday, and it's your ticket to chill. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Parks and Recreation Department is beckoning families to the Clairemont Pool for the largest family-friendly pool party in the city, as detailed by San Diego's news release.
Best of all, attending is free, just like the frisbee fun at Clairemont Park’s Family Day. The Parks and Recreation Department has planned many exciting activities, including an inflatable obstacle course for kids and a foam party for toddlers (ages 2 to 9). Parents should keep an eye on their little ones. There will also be demonstrations on swim safety, including life jackets and rescue techniques, perfect for water lovers who want to stay safe.
Adjacent to the poolside jubilee is Clairemont Family Day - think ponies, pancakes, and performances that span the spectrum from bands to magicians. It's also pleasingly gratis, so between mouthfuls of pancake and joyrides on a pony, spare a moment for the community booths and local businesses adding more flavor to your day than just maple syrup, according to the official announcement from the City of San Diego.
San Diegans interested in aquatic programs can find more details online at the city's aquatics program page. AquaFest and Clairemont Family Day are great options for relaxing in the water, learning about water safety, or enjoying a fun community event.
