The San Francisco law enforcement officials raided two retail locations suspected of clandestine gambling activities. The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), working in collaboration with other agencies, conducted the seizures on Tuesday after receiving authorized search warrants.

The targeted facilities on the 200 block of Leavenworth Street have been under surveillance by the narcotics division, which led the operation. The search resulted in the confiscation of several gambling machines, illicit substances and drug paraphernalia, a stash of US currency, and an assortment of stolen items alongside tobacco products. Officers discovered a firearm and a look-alike weapon during the sweep. According to the San Francisco Police Department, the subjects present were detained, and eight adult males faced arrest, charged with operating an illegal gambling parlor, unresolved arrest warrants, and narcotics offenses.

Although arrests have been made, this remains an open and active investigation.
