Get your funky threads ready because Scottsdale is turning back the clock for a night of 70s-themed revelry at the Scottsdale Civic Center. The City's Parks and Recreation is hosting their ‘Rewind 70s Night’, hot on the heels of last year's successful 80s bash.
The evening promises to be a dynamic blend of music and throwback culture, featuring a disco DJ, live bands belting out classic 70s hits, and an array of other activities including retro arcades, a cocktail garden and vintage market where attendees can buy, sell, reminisce about the old times when bell bottoms and disco balls ruled. In a statement obtained by Scottsdale Parks and Recreation, Special Events Manager Dan Miller expressed his excitement, saying “The 1980s rewind night was such a big hit last year, we had to show the 70s some love.”
The family-friendly festivities are open to all, and admission is free, so everyone is encouraged to dig through their closets for paisley patterns and polyester to get into the mood. The 'Rewind 70s Night' will take over Scottsdale Civic Center, located at 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd., from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, further details about this trip down memory lane can be found on the city's event page.
