Sunday's forecast indicates a slight uptick in the probability of precipitation, with a 20 percent chance of showers after noon despite the sunny outlook and a high inching up to around 86, the wind, originating from the east-southeast at 8 to 14 mph, is expected to shift south in the afternoon, showing a mild yet noticeable change in pattern. Temperatures in the evening are anticipated to drop to a low of around 61 under mostly cloudy skies and a more pronounced 40 percent chance of showers.

The likelihood of wet weather escalates at the start of the workweek with Monday presenting a 70 percent chance of showers, and potentially a thunderstorm post-noon, coupled with mostly cloudy conditions and a high near 81, the south wind carrying momentum at 6 to 15 mph. Carrying into Monday night, weather conditions predict showers and the possibility of a thunderstorm before midnight, then a trailing chance of showers, as temperatures take a dip to a lower 52, the chances of precipitation standing strong at 80 percent.

Into the midweek, Tuesday comes with a 50 percent chance of showers under partly sunny circumstances, and a cooler high near 67, as the weather pattern remains indecisive yet responsive to the shifts taking place in the atmosphere, the forecast stretching into Wednesday and Thursday also heralds a persistent possibility for showers with highs of around 70 and 68 respectively, as the evenings settle into the low areas of the 50s. Notably, the residents of Salt Lake City should keep their umbrellas at close reach with following days showing a similar trend; Friday, in particular, rings in a chance of showers and thunderstorms with temperatures hovering in the mid-60s.
