Instructing participants on how to staunch severe bleeding and competently administer Narcan, the 'Stop the Bleed & Narcan Classes' are tailored for the beginning of each odd-numbered month; January through November. Meanwhile, the 'Hands-Only CPR & AED Classes' will take place on the first Friday of the even-numbered months, February through December. These sessions focus on the essentials of CPR, AED deployment, and rescue breaths, ensuring novice responders can take critical first steps confidently in a pinch. However, it's worth noting that the CPR & AED class does not provide official certification.
Educational opportunities commence at 4 p.m. sharp in the Public Safety Building Auditorium, located at 14250 W. Statler Plaza, Suite 101. Surprisingly, pre-registration is a must for interested individuals and can practically be done through the Surprise website. Participants must be 12 years or older, with attendees aged 12-17 requiring an accompanying registered adult. Each class maxes out at 40 people, so reserve your spot as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
