Last night, one of Tennessee's most sought-after suspects felt the long arm of the law close around him. Michael Cason, a 30-year-old on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's (TBI) Most Wanted list, was arrested by Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) detectives in a residence on Lebanon Pike. As per the Metro Nashville Police Department, Cason was apprehended by the MNPD's TITANS unit, a specialized team that deals with neighborhood shootings.
Cason's capture stems from a recent spate of particularly violent incidents, leading to warrants issued by the Clarksville Police Department. The charges he faces are weighty: attempted homicide, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated burglary. Initially, upon his arrest, the suspect was booked on an outstanding probation violation, according to authorities. This legal snag will be just the beginning of Cason's longer journey through the judicial system.
The efficient work of the TITANS unit has undoubtedly relieved the Clarksville community, which had been on edge following the shooting earlier this week. The work of these dedicated detectives underscores a relentless pursuit of justice. Cason is currently detained and will soon be transported back to Montgomery County to face the serious allegations against him.
