
An altercation at an Old Town trolley stop escalated into violence early this morning, leaving one man hospitalized following a stabbing and assault with a rock. According to the San Diego Police Department's Watch Commander's Log, the incident unfolded at approximately 8:44 am on Taylor Street, near the intersection with Congress Street.
Reports detail that three Hispanic males were involved in the incident, with two of the individuals attacking the 27-year-old victim. During the altercation, one assailant was said to quickly stab the victim twice in the upper body, while the other suspect struck him once in the head with a rock. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life threatening.
In a statement, authorities indicated that the suspects fled the scene immediately after the attack but were located a short distance away. The victim positively identified them and has been arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. The identities of the suspects have yet to be verified.
