Chicagoans can expect a week of sunshine and mild temperatures, according to the latest forecasts. The National Weather Service of Chicago/Romeoville informs that there's a high near 89 today with an east wind casually brushing at 5 to 10 mph, occasionally with 15 mph gusts. As the evening rolls in, the city will partially cloak itself in clouds with a low soothing to around 65, while the southeast wind continues to gently sway at a similar pace.

The start of the workweek looks to closely mimic today's pleasantness, with Monday's sunny high estimated at around 86 and a wind transitioning from south southeast to east northeast in the afternoon. Nightfall on Monday doesn't plan to change course, offering up a mostly clear sky and a low of about 63 degrees. Looking into the rest of the week, the forecast promises more sun with high temperatures marginally descending from the low 80s to the high 70s, and lows consistently hovering in the low 60s, according to the detailed forecast for Chicago, IL.

In alignment with the serene forecast, the National Weather Service's Hazardous Weather Outlook echoes safety in its predictability. "No hazardous weather is expected at this time," the report states for both land and lake, spanning today and into the following Saturday. 

The city's spotter network can stand down, as "Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight," the Outlook further assures.
