A Wisconsin man lost his life late Friday night in what the police are investigating as a homicide after a shooting in Austin on the West Side of Chicago. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Jerrell J. Jordan, 27, was riding as a passenger in a vehicle around 11:15 P.M. in the 4700 block of West Lake Street when someone in a blue sedan reportedly opened fire on them.
Tragically struck in the chest, Jordan, hailing from Albany, Wisconsin, was promptly taken to Stroger Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. With no suspects in custody riding alongside the tragedy, Area Four detectives are leading a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As confirmed by FOX 32 Chicago, the shooting occurred late Saturday night. Positioned in a car, the 27-year-old man was a victim of a serious crime that resulted in him being shot while sitting inside the vehicle. The shots were fired from a blue sedan according to witnesses at the scene.
