
A tragic work-related incident took place in the Stream Valley neighborhood of Franklin yesterday morning, claiming the life of a 37-year-old man. Operating landscaping equipment at the time, the worker encountered a critical accident and sustained injuries that proved fatal, as per reports from the Franklin Police Department.
Details are currently sparse, but according to FOX17, the Franklin Police Department believes the death to be accidental. Occurring just after 9:40 a.m., police have yet to release the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin.
Adding to this, the Franklin Police Department provided a statement obtained by WSMV confirming that the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TOSHA) had been informed of the unfortunate event.
While the Franklin Police Department concludes its preliminary inquiry, they have held back from releasing additional details about the accident, as reported by WKRN. The circumstance, being informed of the incident by TOSHA, reportedly points to the landscape equipment as the source of the fatal injuries.
