A man has been taken into custody by the Metropolitan Police Department in connection with a stabbing incident in Northwest Washington, D.C., the department reports. Police were called to the 1400 block of Irving Street NW on the evening of October 20 following a report of an assault taking place.
Upon their arrival at approximately 6:11 p.m., officers discovered one individual suffering from multiple stab wounds, which were quickly assessed as non-life-threatening thankfully, the victim was then promptly transported to a nearby hospital for the medical attention needed to recover from the incident. In the consequent days, detectives pursued an investigation which led to the arrest of 34-year-old Michael Trone, who also resides in the Northwest area of the city.
Trone is now facing charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a grave allegation that underscores the violent nature of the altercation which took place mere days ago.
