The City of Carmel has designated trick-or-treating for October 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. If you’re giving out treats, please light up your porch. If you’re not participating or have run out of candy, please turn off your porch lights, as stated by the City of Carmel.
In this community, safety is important for our trick-or-treaters. As Halloween approaches, remember to drive carefully with your headlights on. If you're out with kids, bring flashlights or use glow sticks and reflective tape to keep them visible in the dark, as reported by the City of Carmel.
In the spirit of classic traditions and community safety, we advise that all young trick-or-treaters be accompanied by an adult. Parents should remain vigilant when crossing streets during their quest for candy. It’s essential for parents to inspect all treats before allowing their children to eat them, discarding any unwrapped or suspicious items. Costumes should be short enough to prevent trips and falls, and instead of masks, face paint is recommended to keep visibility clear and eyes unblocked. The Carmel community works together to ensure a safe Halloween for everyone. "Motorists should drive with extra caution and keep an eye out for 'little goblins' roaming the neighborhood," says the City of Carmel statement.
