The Chicago Police Department has issued a public appeal for information regarding Israel Martinez, a 42-year-old man who has been missing since September 18, 2024. Martinez, identified as a White Hispanic male, was last seen in the vicinity of the 4400 block of S. Kedzie, according to an alert sent out by police.
Martinez is described as 5’09” tall, weighing 275 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and a complexion described as light-medium. Notably, he has a missing front tooth and multiple tattoos, details which could aid in his identification. When last contacted, he was known to be carrying a camouflage North Face backpack helping to differentiate him from others.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the search for Martinez. The Area One Detectives are leading the investigation and can be reached at 312-747-8380. Chicago Police have also stated that in the case of immediate recognition or emergency, individuals should not hesitate to call 911.
