As autumn paints the landscapes of Clarksville in hues of orange and gold, the city is gearing up for its annual ritual of yard waste removal, providing a much-appreciated service to the community. Announced by the City of Clarksville to begin on October 21, the Clarksville Street Department is set to roll out free roadside pickup for residents cloaked within the city's embrace. The cleanup program, which runs through December 9th, allows locals to bid farewell to the accumulated detritus of the fading season.
Residents eager to unburden their lawns of grass clippings, leaves, and limbs can make arrangements by dialing the Street Department at (931) 645-7464 during regular office hours or leaving a message with the pickup line at (931) 472-3353, including their address and details on the yard waste.
In a display of efficiency, the City of Clarksville has delineated the acceptable forms of yard waste as biodegradable paper bags and cardboard boxes for smaller items. At the same time, larger limbs must meet the specified size limit. The waste should be placed within 10 feet of the roadway yet carefully positioned so as not to obstruct views or drainage. Notably, the service does not include tree stumps or limbs from commercial tree trimming endeavors.
For additional details or to address any concerns that may surface, the Clarksville Street Department remains accessible for queries Monday through Friday, from the early hours of 7 am till the afternoon wanes at 3:30 pm. More information about this service can be found at the City of Clarksville's official website.
