Last night, the Coronado Police Department reported an assault involving a 13-year-old boy that occurred on the evening of Friday, October 11. The incident occurred between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on the 500 block of Orange Avenue. The young boy was approached by an unknown adult male who briefly conversed with him before the physical assault happened.
According to the social media post by the Coronado Police Department, the suspect has been described as a heavyset white male donning a hat with a surfboard logo. Following the assault, the juvenile proceeded to walk south on Orange Avenue, the suspect tailing him. Soon after, the boy came across an adult he recognized and asked for help, and the suspect chose to flee the scene.
