In Colma, a high-speed chase ended in a DUI arrest last Sunday. Colma Police Officers were engaged in routine traffic enforcement when they encountered a vehicle speeding past them on Hillside Boulevard. Eventually, officers intercepted the car in neighboring Daly City. According to a Facebook post by the Colma Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 11:33 PM, and the vehicle was heading toward East Market Street and Mission Road before pulling over.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Mario Rosalesmorales, showed clear signs of intoxication, which included the smell of alcohol and a demeanor consistent with someone who had consumed more than the legal limit. Officers arrested him upon these findings. Rosalesmorales, a Daly City resident, was 23 years old and subject to a preliminary alcohol screening that revealed a blood alcohol content over twice the permitted level. This screening test led to his arrest for driving under the influence.
The Colma Police Department stated that he "was cited and released into the care of a sobering facility" after the arrest.
