
A road rage incident in Key Largo led to the arrest of a Davie man on Tuesday afternoon. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported that 39-year-old Christopher Edward Domes is facing charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and improper exhibition of a firearm. He was accused of pointing a loaded handgun at two other motorists at the Key Largo Kampground and Marina, as per the officials.
Citing the sheriff's office, WSVN detailed that Domes allegedly followed the victims into the campground at high speed before driving recklessly. Around 2 p.m., he allegedly drew a 9mm handgun and threatened the victims' lives during the check-in process.
No injuries were reported as Domes did not fire the weapon. After the incident, he was taken into custody and booked into the local jail. Local10 confirmed that Domes' bond was set at $35,000. Jail records indicated that as of yesterday morning, Domes was still being held in the MCSO's Key West jail facility.
The sheriff’s office has not released additional information regarding the motive or what specifically precipitated the charged display of aggression by Domes.
