The event, which advocates for local business and entrepreneur development within the community, is set to take place on Wednesday, October 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the pertinent Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation, located within the Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center.
Contenders are eagerly anticipating the $22,500 prize pool available to the three finalists - with 1st, 2nd and 3rd places taking home $10,000, $7,500, and $5,000 respectively, according to an announcement by the Office of Economic and Small Business Development. A panel of judges adept in industry and market analytics will evaluate these entrepreneurs' crafted business plans, which have undergone a thorough nine-point criteria review, including executive summaries and growth plans for operations, finances, and marketing.

McDonald highlighting the contribution to "nurturing local business owners and entrepreneurs to greater achievement," solidifying the indispensable partnerships with organizations like the Kauffman Foundation and Alan B. Throughout the preparatory 10-module Kauffman course aspiring business owners received guidance from an assortment of subject matter experts such as David Greenberg, Adam Herman, and Rafael Cruz they were among the various industry specialists assisting the students by providing insights and strategies pertinent for today's competitive business landscape, the event weaves a broader narrative around community support, and education, ensuring that small businesses have the sustenance they need.
