
A tragic incident took place west of Boynton Beach, resulting in the loss of a young Delray Beach man’s life after days struggling for survival following a significant vehicular collision. 29-year-old Travis Francisco Henry succumbed to his injuries on early Sunday morning, a heart-rending finale to his fight after being critically injured last Tuesday.
According to The Palm Beach Post, the unfortunate encounter occurred as Henry's SUV attempted a turn onto Boynton Beach Boulevard from State Road 7 last Tuesday at approximately 11:55 a.m., at this juncture his vehicle was struck by a Chevy 2500 truck, the impact sending both vehicles off the road, with Henry’s vehicle rolling onto its roof after engaging with the shoulder's declining slope, the crash witnessed in the light of day the devastating consequences unfolding in moments.
Further details from the WPTV report revealed that the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office confirmed this sequence of events and noted that Henry's extraction from the vehicle demanded heavy extrication due to the severe crash aftermath. The 18-year-old Chevy driver, a resident of suburban Lake Worth Beach, sustained only minor injuries.
After the two vehicles crashed on the road, emergency services were swift to respond, and despite surviving the initial impact, his vehicle had flipped and crushed. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue’s efforts culminated in Henry passing just before 1 a.m. on Sunday.
