Following a tragic incident on September 12th, where a 25-year-old woman was found unresponsive and later declared deceased in Escondido, local detectives have made a significant arrest tied to the case. Detectives from the Escondido Police Department's Gang/Narcotics Unit have connected the woman’s death to illicit fentanyl, discovering paraphernalia at the scene that tested positive for the dangerous substance, as reported by the Escondido Police Department via Nixle.
In their investigation, detectives managed to trace the narcotics back to a resident, resulting in a search warrant executed on October 3rd at a Paula Way residence, where two individuals were apprehended. Danny Nunez, a 25-year-old suspected of being the source of the lethal drug, and Abraham Saldana, 30, found illegally in possession of a firearm and previous convictions add to this individual's trail of choices, seemingly disregarding the law.
Danny Nunez now faces federal charges, including Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, while Saldana’s charges pertain to firearm possession by a convicted felon.
