
A tragic incident at a construction site in Lehi left a worker dead after he was pinned by a forklift, authorities reported on Thursday. According to FOX13, the Lehi Fire Department discovered the body early Thursday morning near the intersection of 3200 North and 1200 West. The man's wife had begun searching for him when he did not return home the previous night.
As reported by ABC4, the deceased worker, whose identity has not been released to the public, is believed to have died overnight and it is still unclear how the man became trapped by the forklift. Emergency crews were focused on the delicate task of extracting his body from the site.
Confirming the ongoing investigation, Lehi City Communications Manager Jeanteil Livingston said, "At this time, the circumstances surrounding how the individual became trapped remain unclear." As obtained by KUTV, Livingston disclosed that the fire department, with assistance from the Utah County Special Response Team, was actively working to remove the man's body from the equipment. Further details on the identity of the man or the construction company for which he worked were not immediately shared.
