A 49-year-old man named Alberto Arias Vidal, the owner of a post-operative care facility in Miami-Dade, has been arrested and charged with sexually battering two female patients during post-cosmetic surgery treatments, local authorities have confirmed. The alleged sexual battery occurred at his business, Surgery Recovery House LLC, located at Southwest 226th Terrace.
Victims reported to the police that Vidal offered clinical care and lymphatic massages as part of the recovery process, a service for which they paid; however, during the massages, incidents occurred that led to the charges being brought against him; these allegations are detailed in arrest reports referenced by Local 10 and NBC Miami. Investigators found that Vidal was not a licensed medical provider, nor did he have a license to perform lymphatic massages, adding another layer of concern regarding his business operations and the trust placed in him by unsuspecting patients.
According to a Local 10 report, the first victim disclosed to the police that on June 21, he "was giving her a lymphatic massage, he digitally penetrated her vagina against her will," as stated in the police report. The following day, another victim alleged similar misconduct, claiming that Vidal "fondled her clitoris and then digitally penetrated her vagina against her will." The allegations suggest a pattern of predatory behavior, capitalizing on the vulnerability of patients seeking care.
After his arrest on Wednesday, Vidal denied knowing the first victim and rejected all allegations against him. However, the judge found probable cause for the charges and set his bond at $15,000, ordering him to have no contact with the alleged victims.
