As Hurricane Milton approaches Florida, the Miami Heat has postponed their preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks, originally scheduled for tonight at Kaseya Center at 7:30 p.m., due to the storm's expected impact.
The new playdate is set for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. This change-up was announced by the Miami Heat on Tuesday. The WSVN reports that tickets already purchased for tonight will seamlessly transfer to the rescheduled game. Those unable to catch the action next week can chase a refund at the point of purchase.
The team will begin their preseason with a game against the Hornets in Charlotte on Tuesday before returning to Miami that night, according to the Miami Herald.
While tonight’s game against the Hawks is canceled, the Heat will still play the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Kaseya Center. This change means the Heat will have to quickly adapt to a back-to-back schedule, facing the San Antonio Spurs and the Hawks on consecutive days. The preseason will conclude with a game against the Grizzlies in Memphis on Friday.
