A Monroe Township man faces serious charges, including attempted murder, after an alleged stabbing incident last month.

Dustin Mills, 30, was indicted yesterday for assaulting Tommy Aldridge, 32, during what was reported as a robbery gone awry at East Fork State Park last Thursday. According to the Clermont County Sheriff's Office, Mills is charged with one count of attempted murder, a first-degree felony, and two counts of felonious assault, second-degree felonies. Emergency services were called to the scene, where Aldridge was found with multiple stab wounds to his face, neck, abdomen, knees, and hands.

Upon arrival of Central Joint Fire/EMS, the victim received immediate medical attention and was later transported by Pierce Township Fire/EMS to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for further treatment. While no suspect was initially identified at the scene, three witnesses came forward hours later, providing information that ultimately led to the identification of Mills as the assailant.

Witnesses, who spoke to sheriff's deputies stationed near the park, claimed to have seen the altercation and recognized the perpetrator. "The individuals explained that they were witnesses to the altercation and were able to identify the assailant as Dustin Mills, age 30, of Monroe Township," mentioned the Clermont County Sheriff's Office report. This led authorities to Mills' residence, where the incident allegedly occurred.
