In what officials are calling a total loss, an early morning fire destroyed a Woodlawn home on Deerstand Drive yesterday. The Montgomery County Fire Service (MCFS) responded around 1:20 a.m. and found the residence engulfed in flames. Nearby homes also sustained damage, particularly to their siding, from the intense heat of the fire, as reported by WSMV.
The fire was so severe that the MCFS requested backup from the Fort Campbell Fire Department. According to Clarksville Now, multiple stations, including MCFS Stations 16, 17, 18, and 19, responded. Despite the scale of the fire and the early hour, no injuries were reported. Firefighting efforts concluded around 5 a.m. when units cleared the scene.
The family affected by the fire will receive support. The Red Cross has been notified to provide immediate relief to those displaced by the disaster, as reported by WKRN.
Investigators are examining the charred remains to determine the cause of the fire. No additional information has been released about its origins or any potential warning signs.
