Authorities are intensifying the search for Shakia Davidson, 22, wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Nashville's Napier area last month. Law enforcement officials say the September 8 incident, in which 32-year-old Dorothy Stephenson was killed, followed an altercation between the two women, who were reportedly acquainted. The shooting took place on Green Street near the Sudekum homes, as reported by WSMV.
Officers responded to a call about a shooting at approximately 2:19 a.m. on that fateful day. According to WKRN, they arrived to discover Dorothy Stephenson, with a gunshot wound, seated in the passenger seat of a Chevrolet Tahoe. Stephenson was pronounced dead at the scene. Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) later identified Davidson as the person wanted for her role in what has escalated into a homicide investigation.
MNPD believes the two women were acquaintances, and the shooting stemmed from an argument on Green Street, noted a report from NewsChannel 5. Since the public announcement of her search, Davidson has evaded capture, prompting officials to seek assistance from the community.
