The Metro Nashville Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in an effort to identify two suspects implicated in a series of robberies at fitness centers across Middle Tennessee. The call for community vigilance follows a sequence of events that occurred earlier in the month, involving the theft of personal items from unsuspecting gym-goers.

As per the timeline established by the MNPD, on October 8, 2024, two men orchestrated a series of burglaries, beginning at the YMCA on Bluegrass Commons Boulevard in Hendersonville at 7:35 a.m. They then targeted three other fitness centers, ending with Planet Fitness on Murfreesboro Road in Franklin at 11:20 a.m. Authorities report that during the incidents, one man quickly distracted the front desk employee while the other breached the locker rooms, stealing wallets and other personal effects, as noted by WKRN.

Once possession of the stolen credit cards was secured, the duo used them to unlawfully purchase gift cards. The suspects’ escape vehicle, according to FOX 17 News, has been described as a gray or black Tesla adorned with a dealer's license plate. This detail, alongside footage from surveillance cameras, is key to the ongoing investigation.

The operation spanned various locations, including the YMCA on Gallatin Pike in East Nashville and the YMCA on Lebanon Pike in Hermitage, with the thieves meticulously avoiding detection. "In these cases, one of the men would distract the front desk employee while the second suspect would go to the locker room where items, including wallets, were stolen," the MNPD detailed in a report provided by WSMV. The public is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 if they have any information or recognize the men from surveillance images. Callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
