A high-speed chase involving a stolen Lamborghini ended in a Pembroke Park neighborhood as authorities searched for the second suspect. The incident, reported by WSVN, occurred yesterday afternoon when a white Lamborghini stolen from Aventura stopped in a residential yard at 4601 Southwest 19th Street.
As the vehicle stopped, two masked individuals got out and fled on foot, leading to a large police search with K9 units and helicopters. Neighbors were taken by surprise; one described hearing the loud car before it crashed into her yard, while others voiced concerns for their safety. A young girl said, “I was nervous because like, I’m like, I never seen that before,” as per a WSVN report.
One suspect has been apprehended, according to Local 10, after surveillance footage from a local resident showed the luxury SUV speeding through the streets. Eric Udell, whose front yard became the end point of the chase, expressed his alarm during the event, saying, "I actually thought they were going to hit the house." He also shared concerns for his family, stating, “I didn’t know if (the suspects) were armed or something.”
Authorities are still searching for the second suspect, who remains at large as of 10 p.m. yesterday. The stolen vehicle was towed from the scene, and no injuries were reported. Officials from both the Aventura and Pembroke Park Police Department are seeking information and urge anyone with details about the crime to come forward.
