Pembroke Pines police have taken into custody a man from West Park after finding him in possession of over three pounds of cannabis and a loaded firearm during a late-night traffic stop. The discovery, made yesterday night, led to several felony charges against the individual. Local 10 reports that the arrest occurred following a routine traffic stop.
Officers discovered 3.3 pounds of cannabis, several items related to drug distribution, and a firearm. According to WSVN, five freezer-sealed bags of marijuana were confiscated, indicating preparation for distribution.
The local law enforcement's work continues after dark, with the Pembroke Pines Police Department's Alpha Shift and Vice, Intelligence, and Narcotics Unit handling the arrest and seizure. An Instagram post from the Pembroke Pines Police Department highlighted their officers' vigilance, stating that even when most people are sleeping, members of the department are still on patrol.
