Camelback Ranch in Phoenix will transform into a dazzling wonderland this fall with the debut of the 'Tianyu Lights Festival.' Starting next Friday and running through January 5, 2025, the festival will feature over 40 stunning light displays made from metal silk and LED lights. Huiyuan Liu, event manager of Tianyu Arts & Culture Inc., stated that this is their first event in Phoenix, offering a family-friendly nighttime experience across four themed areas: Illuminated Forest, Fairy Tale Wonderland, Panda- Land, and Ocean World, as per ABC 15.
Attendees can expect to explore scenes from rainforests worldwide, encounter mythical creatures, learn about the cultural significance of pandas, and walk through a 40-foot-long shark tunnel. Liu emphasized the festival's mission to promote nature conservation and mentioned that her favorite exhibit will be the Ocean World experience. Tickets are available online and at the door, but Liu recommends purchasing online for a discount.
Moving east, Citi Field in Flushing will host 'Koda’s Adventure to the Magical Forest' this winter, running from November 29 to January 19. Visitors will follow Koda's journey from eastern Peru into a glowing world where dreams and memories intertwine. The immersive experience includes an interactive element, where guests help Koda recall his memories by finding hints throughout the adventure, leading to a surprise gift. More details can be found on the Tianyu Lights Festival website.
In addition to the light displays, the venue will feature a variety of food and beverages at the Forest Food Court, live cultural performances, and a marketplace with unique handcrafted goods. The Tianyu Lights Festival honors its Asian heritage through the art of lantern-making, rooted in Sichuan Province, China, where local artisans preserve this traditional craft, as noted by Liu in the ABC 15 interview.
