Earlier today, a bicyclist was involved in a hit-and-run incident on a Portland road. According to the Portland Police Bureau, officers arrived at the scene near Southeast 128th Avenue and Southeast Glisan Street around 2:37 a.m., to discover the cyclist had succumbed to their injuries.
Police are currently searching for the driver who fled the scene, leaving behind an ongoing investigation. The Major Crash Team has taken over the case, cordoning off Southeast Glisan Street to traffic between Southeast 125th Avenue and Southeast 133rd Avenue as they examine the area. The route to Menlo Park Elementary School remains open, accessible via East Burnside and Southeast 128th Avenue.
