The hunt for America's premier pit stop has found its king in the desert oasis of Salt Lake City, Utah. A Maverik gas station, nestled at 279 S. 5600 West, has outshined its competitors to secure the crown for 'Best Restroom in America.' The accolade, stemming from a public contest conducted by Cintas Corporation, affirms the station's commitment to hygiene and design, as it towers over the routine travel experience.
Competition has been rigorous, with participants aiming to not just meet but spectacularly exceed public expectations for restroom quality. According to FOX 13, Cintas has been hosting this competition for 23 years, pushing businesses to maintain high standards in their restroom facilities. Maverik has managed to significantly raise the bar.
At the heart of Maverik's success seems to be an ethos shared by its staff, a belief that a clean, functional restroom is more than a convenience, it's part of the journey. "It truly is an honor to be recognized by Cintas and our customers for creating restrooms with a hygienic and comforting atmosphere," Ryan Boothe, Chief Retail Officer of Maverik said, as per Facility Executive.
Guidelines for the contest were clear-cut and intended to ensure only the most exemplary restrooms would be considered. As elucidated by ABC 4, entrants needed to be publicly accessible restrooms in the United States, fresh contenders unjaded by past glories. A panel of judges was tasked to scrupulously parse through nominations, ones that had consent from the owners, based on factors like cleanliness and innovation.
