At around 4:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to a building on the 100 block in response to a welfare check, as reported by the San Francisco Police Department. When they arrived, they discovered an unresponsive adult male on the floor.
The paramedics, arriving shortly after, pronounced the man deceased at the scene. In their preliminary assessment before the Medical Examiner's report, the death has been labeled suspicious. As the Medical Examiner begins their inquiry, the details surrounding the man's passing are still unclear.
In a matter of routine but grave significance, the Homicide Unit of the San Francisco Police Department has since taken charge of the investigation. To date, no arrests have been made, and the identity of the victim has not been released pending family notification.
