St. Louis law enforcement officials have increased their calls for public assistance in the pursuit of suspects in a double murder case that has shaken the Kingsway East neighborhood. The incident, which resulted in the deaths of Marshun White, 42, and Marcus Price, 34, occurred outside an apartment building in the early hours on September 19, according to FOX 2 Now.
Authorities are reviewing surveillance video that could be crucial to the investigation. The footage shows two men who might be suspects, casually walking before quickly leaving the Regency at St. Louis apartments. The situation turned serious when both men were seen running with what police believe to be a handgun, according to video highlights. This incident took place at the intersection of North Kingshighway Boulevard and Aldine Place.
The source of this insight into the suspects, detectives say, is a piece of surveillance footage obtained by police and later shared in an effort to encourage someone to recognize the individuals and come forward. As FOX 2 Now points out, family members claimed that Marshun White "had no enemies."
In the aftermath of the shooting, the scene was scattered with numerous shell casings, showing the violence of the encounter. According to a KSDK report, a handgun was also recovered, indicating that the suspects were armed and dangerous.
The St. Louis police department has released video and images of the wanted suspects. Authorities are urging anyone with information that could lead to their capture to contact CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477, as noted in a statement from First Alert 4. They emphasize that tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward to encourage witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
