The Deering Estate is partnering with the Antique Automotive Club of America – South Florida Region to host the 12th annual Vintage Auto Show. Set your calendars for Sunday, November 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., this event will showcase a collection of vintage vehicles, all dating from 1965 and earlier, against the backdrop of the historic Deering Estate grounds.
For those looking to save money, early bird tickets are available until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 1, priced at $13 for adults (ages 15+) and $6 for children (ages 4-14). Be aware, starting Saturday, November 2, ticket prices will increase to $18 for adults and, $10 for children. Children under four can attend the event for free, and Deering Estate Foundation Members can enjoy complimentary entry upon RSVP — secure your tickets online in advance through Park Link.
The event also promises additional family-friendly activities. Test your automotive knowledge with a vintage car scavenger hunt, or keep the children engaged with craft making activities – perfect for a picnic table session or to take home. There will be plenty of lawn games for some outdoor fun, and nature preserve tours will be available three times during the day, on a first-come, first-served basis. Nature trails are open for self-guided adventures, and for those looking for some water fun, kayak rentals will be offered, weather permitting.
True to the venue's culture-rich environment, the film "On This Land: The Charles Deering Estate" will be featured. Produced by Emmy-Award-winning director Carl Kesser and funded by the 100 Ladies of Deering, the film adds an educational twist to the event. Visitors can also purchase Deering Estate merchandise, a variety of refreshments, and the Legacy Deering Estate Coffee Table Book during their visit. However, the estate's historic house museums will be closed.
