
A climber was rescued last Saturday afternoon by CHP Golden Gate Division Air Operations after a fall at the Rock City area of Mount Diablo caused major injuries. The rescue, which involved multiple agencies, was detailed in a social media post by CHP's air operations team.
A San Ramon Valley Fire Hazardous Response Team (HRT) member was lowered to the scene, where the injured party was stabilized and prepared for airlift. The teamwork and precision of the operation were evident as the CHP helicopter, H-30, hoisted the patient from the precarious terrain.
The victim was then transferred to Reach 32, an air ambulance, for prompt transport to John Muir Hospital for treatment of their injuries. According to a social media post, CHP Golden Gate Division Air Operations expressed gratitude towards their allied agency partners for their support during such critical missions.
