Four Peaks Brewing Company is bringing the German festivities to the U.S. with its 51st Oktoberfest celebration at Tempe Beach Park. This weekend-long event will turn Tempe into a hub of lederhosen, beer steins, and plenty of brews. As reported by ABC15, Trevor Needle, Four Peaks' marketing director, highlighted the authenticity of their Oktoberfest beer and the importance of creating an event that truly embodies the spirit of this legendary festival
KTAR highlighted the culinary side of Four Peaks Brewing's Oktoberfest, announcing a special collaboration with Chef Nicholas Hyche, known as the "Weiner Meister." He'll be serving up a 'Kilt Lifter' bratwurst topped with bacon and apple-mustard slaw. This marks the first time the festival has partnered with a local chef to create a signature dish for the event. Beyond the food and drinks, attendees can also enjoy live music on two stages, with headliners including the Black Moods and Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers.
The event runs from Friday to Sunday, with hours from 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and wrapping up on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. General admission tickets start at $20 for Friday and Saturday, but on Sunday, entry is free for everyone. Plus, if you're 20 or younger, you get free admission all weekend long.
For those planning to attend, be prepared for road closures around the event, including parts of Rio Salado Parkway and Mill Avenue, as detailed by KTAR. Beyond the fun, there's a good cause behind the celebration: proceeds from the festival will support Tempe Sister Cities, helping to send local high school students to one of Tempe's nine sister cities around the world to promote international connections.
With a lineup of activities like the Stein Holding Competition, Dachshund Races, and a variety of beers such as the Bad Birdie Juicy Golden Ale and the Desert Daydream IPA series, Four Peaks Brewing Oktoberfest promises to be more than just a party. It’s an event where community, culture, and a great cause come together, celebrating traditional festivities with a craft beer twist. So, dust off your dirndls, grab your steins, and head to Tempe Beach Park to join in the fun.
