Three men were injured in a late-night shooting in Chicago's Princeton Park neighborhood, according to reports from local police. On Monday night, around 9:50 p.m., gunfire erupted while the victims were inside a vehicle in the 9300 block of South Stewart Avenue. The Chicago Sun-Times states that two men, both 28, suffered less serious injuries while a 24-year-old man was taken to Christ Medical Center in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Details surrounding the shootings are scarce as detectives from Area Two continue their investigation into the incident, with no arrests made at this time. A 28-year-old man received a graze wound to the head and the other suffered a gunshot wound to the left hand, both of whom were also treated at Christ Hospital and were reported to be in good condition. Meanwhile, the street pastor Donovan Price, who is often a witness to the chaos enveloping the streets, expressed his concern in a statement obtained by CBS News Chicago, saying, "Sitting home, this time, hearing gunshots, what sounded like a weapon with a switch which is a problem definitely and sure enough., end up with three people shot."
