The ordeal began when the victim, situated in a Toyota Yaris, was approached by an armed man who emerged from a Chevrolet Impala. Demanding the keys and instructing the victim to exit his car, the gunman took possession of the vehicle, making an escape alongside the Impala. Within an hour of the high-tension episode, law enforcement had tracked down the stolen Yaris at McLean Boulevard and Peabody Avenue. A gun was found inside the vehicle as police detained the driver and two passengers, signifying a rapid closure to the initial crime.
