
Three people were injured in a shooting yesterday night in Dania Beach. The incident is currently under investigation by the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), as confirmed in statements obtained separately by Local 10 and WSVN.
BSO spokeswoman Miranda Grossman told Local 10 that the shooting was reported around 10:30 p.m. near Southeast 10th Avenue and Southeast Fourth Avenue, where deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue found two males with gunshot wounds; meanwhile, deputies learned of a third victim after the individual had arrived at a hospital seeking aid, during their investigation, they canvassed the area in order to ensure that there were no additional victims or potential threats lurking somewhere within the vicinity. Paramedics rushed both men found at the scene to a local hospital for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Furthermore, 19-year-old Terrence Lee has been taken into custody in connection with the incident, authorities to Local 10 have confirmed Lee's apprehension; specifics regarding charges or his role in the events preceding the shooting have not been disclosed.
The motives behind the shooting and the detailed circumstances that lead up to the incident remain subjects of ongoing inquiries by BSO's Robbery and Crime Scene units, as crime scene tape cordoned off the section of the neighborhood to facilitate a meticulous gathering of evidence.
