According to a WPTV News Channel 5 report, the authorities swiftly responded after receiving word of the domestic disturbance. A man believed to be armed subsequently attempted to flee back into his hotel room when officers arrived. "Eventually, the man exited the room and was taken into custody," Boca Raton police said in a social media post.
The apprehended male now faces charges of simple battery and aggravated assault. A connected female was also detained at the scene; she was wanted on an unrelated outstanding warrant. Their identities were not disclosed in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
