Early Saturday morning, a fire ravaged a two-story house still under construction in the Fruitridge Pocket neighborhood of Sacramento County. As reported by KCRA, the Sacramento Fire Department was called to the blaze on 16th Avenue between East Nichols Avenue and 42nd Street around 4:56 a.m., where they discovered the house engulfed in flames.
According to the fire crew's account, the intensity of the fire was such that it caused damage to the exterior of the home, including the complete collapse of the structure as depicted in the video. Remarkably, despite the fire's ferocity, no injuries were reported, a testament to the early morning hour and the unoccupied status of the building under construction. The heat from the fire was so pronounced, as mentioned in the Sacramento Fire Department's statement, that it damaged property across the street.

The aftermath of the fire revealed a scene of destruction, with the remains of the home visible through a smartphone camera. This was shared on the Sacramento Fire's Instagram page, where the intensity of the fire was further emphasized by the fact that it had melted the plastic trim on a vehicle parked on the opposite side of the street.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
