The West Palm Beach Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying an individual involved in an incident of voyeurism at a Wawa gas station. A 10-year-old girl became the target of a video voyeur who slid a cell phone under the stall while she was in the bathroom, an event which unfolded at approximately 8 p.m. on September 12, according to a report from WPTV.
Upon noticing the cell phone, the girl screamed, alerting her father who was at the time occupied with getting drinks within the convenience store. The suspect hastily exited the Wawa and was observed fleeing the scene in a dark-colored BMW, as described by police. The Special Victims Unit detectives have depicted the suspect as a white or Hispanic male in his twenties, with an approximate height of 5'8" and a weight ranging from 140 to 170 pounds, with black, curly shoulder-length hair, a grey shirt featuring a large white graphic on the back, and black sweatpants.
Captured by the gas station's surveillance system, the footage of the individual has been released in hopes that the public may aid in his identification. As reported by CBS12, the vehicle he used to make his escape is believed to be a 2004-2007 BMW 5-series, with tinted windows and a sunroof. These details are critical for any potential witnesses who might provide information that can lead to an arrest.
