
A serious collision this morning in Clarksville has resulted in one woman being airlifted to Nashville for medical treatment. The Clarksville Police Department reported the incident occurred around 9:28 a.m. in the 1100 block of Cumberland Drive at Liberty Park; the northbound lanes of Cumberland Drive were subsequently closed, causing traffic redirection onto Southern Drive, as shared in a statement obtained by WSMV.
The crash led to considerable disruption with the affected roadway completely shut down, officials spent time processing the scene, and motorists were consequently advised to use alternative routes due to the ongoing investigation. According to details released on the WSMV, the woman had to be extricated from the wreckage before being transported by helicopter, although her condition remains undisclosed.
