
A woman was attacked and robbed after an altercation outside a Loop fast food restaurant, authorities say. The incident, reported by CBS Chicago, occurred on the 100 block of North State Street outside Chick-fil-A around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday.
The 35-year-old victim, leaving the restaurant, engaged in a conflict that escalated when she was besieged by several individuals. According to the police, as reported by ABC 7 Chicago, they knocked her down, seized her belongings, and fled the scene.
Following the attack, the woman sustained minor injuries. Chicago Fire Department personnel provided on-site treatment before transporting her to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in good condition.
Shortly thereafter, police took two people of interest into custody in connection with the robbery. The investigation into the event is currently underway by Area Three detectives, as the search for the suspects continues, with further updates expected as they emerge.
