The Chicago Police Department has reported the arrest of 19-year-old Marcell Hale in connection with a series of armed robberies. Hale, residing on the 3300 block of W. Evergreen Ave., now faces eight felony counts of robbery while armed with a firearm. The announcement came after Hale's detention hearing at the court on 2600 S. California was scheduled for today.
Hale was taken into custody on Wednesday, following an investigation into incidents that occurred on November 4. The Chicago Police Department report details how he allegedly accosted three men at gunpoint in an alley on the 1600 block of N. Tripp Ave. Victims included a 28-year-old male, a 49-year-old male, and a 57-year-old male. These occurrences unfolded within the jurisdiction of the 25th District, where Hale was subsequently located and arrested.
