Canal Convergence is back at the Scottsdale Waterfront from November 8-17, hosted by Scottsdale Arts. This free public art event features a variety of art installations, all inspired by the theme "Reflections," according to the AZ Central.
The Waterfront will feature large-scale art installations as part of a celebration that blends sustainability, water, art, and light. The artworks, created by international artists, will be on display from 6-9 p.m. on weeknights and until 10 p.m. on weekends, as reported by AZ Central.
The Herberger Stage will feature a variety of music genres starting at 6 p.m. nightly, and the Canal Convergence Mini Film Festival will showcase short films on November 15 and 16, exploring themes through genres like comedy and romance. Ryan Swanson, founder and creative director of The Urban Conga, stated, "We are excited for the public to not only engage with the work but also to use the work to connect with one another and the surrounding landscape in new ways," as mentioned by ABC 15.
Canal Convergence features art installations, interactive displays, and educational workshops where attendees can try activities like making infinity mirrors or wreaths. There are both free and ticketed workshops available. Free parking is offered at several nearby locations, including the Scottsdale Waterfront underground garage and Craftsman North Lot, with details on AZ Central’s website. Canal Convergence is a community event showcasing art by the Scottsdale waterfront.
