The Thanksgiving holiday will affect more than just Thursday and Friday trash pickups. Leaf and limb services will be paused for the entire week. Residents should plan accordingly. For those outside the downtown district with Monday services, the schedule remains unchanged. However, Tuesday and Wednesday collections will be combined into a Tuesday pickup, and Thursday's pickups will move to Wednesday, November 27. Normal service will not resume until Monday, December 2, so hold off on putting out your bins after Black Friday shopping, as detailed by the official announcement.
To ensure smooth service, residents must have their roll-carts out by 7:00 AM on their rescheduled pickup day, as directed by local authorities. Downtown District residents can relax, as there will be no changes to their regular service schedule. As families celebrate Thanksgiving, the Solid Waste Department will take a short break.
